Where should Scott and Aimee live?

Okay Scott and Aimee fans, its time to show us how much you love us. For those of you that know us well, you probably know we are facing a major decision in these coming months. Currently we are in Seattle and have been for the last two years. Aimee has been in graduate school for Marriage and Family Therapy and will be done in June. So the question is do we stay in Seattle for at least another year (maybe 3 years or maybe forever) or do we move back to the SLC come August? There are many pros to both Utah and Washington. My readership is highest in these two states and is actually split pretty evenly. Please send your love our way and make this decision for us. Thanks.

  1. Oh wow. You are leaving it to the fate of your blog. Should be interesting…

  2. I voted Utah because we visit there more often. You should move there earlier than August so we can hang out all summer.

  3. We are selfish…

  4. Is this just a competition to see where most of your blog readership resides?

  5. Okay, I take-back my last post…. If it’s career building time I think you should look where you have the most opportunities.

Also, there are lots more reasons Seattle should win… ie.

Fin will miss his uncle and auntie too much and start to cry all the time.

  6. Okay… I admit, I haven’t voted in awhile, but I HAD to vote for this one… you guys have to stay in Washington!

  7. I love Seattle. I would live there in a heartbeat if I could. If you don’t have kids, stay in Seattle. When you start poppin out babies, move back to be with fam.

  8. I will admit, Utah has it’s perks… but it’s really nice here. And we’re just starting to get to know you guys. And you’re just so fun. And it’s summer which does make it the prettiest place around. And good sushi. And plenty of liberals. And people with brown hair. And people that read other stuff besides twilight and church literature. And people that are afraid to drive in an inch of snow (that’s always pretty funny). And it’s cool to wear socks with sandals here (that’s pretty fun).

Okay I know I’ve made a compelling case for you there. Good luck!

  9. (I tried to rig it and vote more than once but alas your technology has defeated me! Blast!)

  10. WASHINGTON. WASHINGTON. WASHINGTON. Is there even a comparison?

  11. I honestly think Seattle is the best place to live. I’ve never been anywhere as beautiful as Seattle. I would be really sad if you guys left because I was just starting to get to know Aimee and it would suck to have that cut short.

  12. Aren’t homes in Seattle like way expensive?

And hows their snow? Greatest on Earth? I doubt it.

How far do you drive for church? More that 2 minutes? Waste of gas.

I really like Utah so thats my vote.

  13. I obviously voted for Utah, but if I had to give my true opinion, I wouldn’t move to either. Why are limiting yourself to just two locations? Aimee’s family is in WA, your family is in UT, therefore I would move to Chicago, Boise, Evanston or any another nuetral site of your choosing. That way neither of you will have family nearby, but just each other (wow Wade, that was deep).

Just a plug for Evanston (or as most hick Utahns like to call it, Evingston…I’ve even heard it called Ebingston. While I am on topic, it is Costco people, not Costcos), if you were to move there, you would get tons of visitors around July because of people getting fireworks. Even better Scott, you could have your own firework stand in your front yard. Done deal! Scott, I just found you a job. You can tell Aimee that Evingston is beautiful this time of year

  14. If you liked being in Washington, you probably wouldn’t have this voteordie topic. Clearly the people that vote for you to stay there are just being selfish and are putting their wants before yours.

  15. if you leave this summer, then Utah. If not, stay in Seattle.

  16. Ok, I voted Utah, because obviously we want you guys to come back so we can hang out with you….but if I was in your situation, I think I would maybe stay in Seattle. I say this because I tell Jamison at least once a week that I think we should move away from Utah,(and I would list all the reasons why I want to leave, but it doesn’t pertain to your situation, and I’m sure you could care less anyway).
But, since I am sure we will be staying here, and you guys are so fun to hang with, you should move back.

  17. Yes Utah, but we would miss our frequent wonderful weekends in Seattle.

  18. Yes, Washington is winning!

  19. I accidentaly voted Utah and meant washington, not becuase I live there anymore, but becuase if I had to choose between the 2, I would probably choose Seattle. There should be a “which ever makes you 2 happy” choice. Screw it, my vote is for Portland, OR.

  20. Obviously voting for Seattle, especially if you have babies! All of Aimee’s fam is here and Scott has one of his two siblings here… WA is in the bag baby!

  21. I must confess it was a tie so I voted on Safari for Washington again (as well as firefox earlier) but clearly justified especially because jaaron voted for Utah when he meant Washington. So all is fair.

  22. Seattle has everything a person could want- culture, urban/country, great music, architecture, sunshine/rain/snow, and the list goes on!

  23. Don’t really feel like I know you well enough to tell you where to live, but I love commenting so I’m telling you I voted for Utah, for the sole reason of hoping there are Rossi/Heffernan hangouts in our futures.

  24. Washington…I feel pretty passionate about this one!

  25. How about Boise? It’s halfway between Seattle and SLC and is pretty nice most of the year. Neither of us is from here (we came here accidentally in 2001) and so far it’s been a terrific place to raise our family. If you’re really set on Seattle and SLC, I’m voting for Seattle. The Wasatch front can be just plain weird.

  26. I think we might need to face the fact that more people love us in Washington, Scott.

  27. Sara does have a point with the socks with sandals thing.

    Go Seattle!

  28. I have one word for you two: Pennsylvania.

  29. –Where opinions spark a conversation more than an argument, Seattle.

–Where the blue skies and warm sun justify eight months of clouds, Seattle.

–Where diversity is welcomed and almost preferred, Seattle

–Where you, any version fo you, is more accepted, you guessed it, Seattle

    Thanks for staying.

  30. Thanks for the love and support you guys. As of right now, Utah is ahead by 10 votes. Interesting.

Sara, I thought you were on my side. I’m disappointed.

Now we have a few more choices to consider: Boise, Portland, Pennsylvania, and Evanston (Ebingston), Wyoming.

Seriously though, this is going to be a HARD decision.

  31. I’d say Utah. The simple reality is that there are most likely more families there for your wife to build a successful practice and the majority are in shambles.

  32. Hi bro.
    I the first day here.
    Probably, it is interesting,new Story
